Re: PPI Success
After seeing this thread, I thought I would try my luck over a credit card I had for about 3 years, and spent 5 years paying off until 2014.. I no longer do credit cards..

Today got a letter back offering a final settlement of 1,220..

Nice one. Thanks for starting this thread!

Try Canary, they only charge 15% and its almost completely painless.

By the way, if you are a pedantic civil serpent, who has been earning a pittance robbing the working classes of a living for the last thirty odd years, don;t bother. Its unlikely you ever earnt enough money to ever qualify for any credit products

Pleased to hear you got some decent wedge out of them.

You can do better than that for your old man surely, assuming it's not liver, fava beans and a nice Chianti?

This has been explained to Sold a hundred times.

He is incapable of comprehending it.

Re: PPI Success
You didn't get the chance to decline it if it was front loaded.

You didn't even SEE that it was there (bar the small print)

I'd say that the majority of us wallies who had it just wanted the money and so signed off on any old shit in case the bank said no to the loan otherwise.

Spot on.

Re: PPI Success
Sold.

There's a certain irony in you calling folk idiots regarding this issue, when you are seemingly incapable of comprehending the fairly simple concept behind PPI refunding.

Let me try again.

The banks HID PPI in overdrafts and loans, even when folk had declined it.

It was a SCAM BY THE BANKS.

.... you was too 'fick to read the small print then Lenny son... saying that I'm right royally pissed off that every loan, mortgage and credit card I was offered PPI I declined... so you can imagine when I eventually done a PPi check on all my old loans, mortgages and credit cards I infact had NIL PPI... as I had declined it... I'm gutted

Re: PPI Success
In my twenties, I was too busy shagging and drinking around the world to worry about if banks were hiding PPI in the loans/credit cards I had.

Turns out I should have fucked off all that travelling and studied every bit of banks the T&C's like a right NERD.

Bernie 1:18 Sat May 12
Re: PPI Success
Lots of PPI was front loaded to loans, so you didnt have to tick a box, or even get offered it.

You'd only spot it by reading the small print, which in most cases people never did.

Parents are loaded tobster and the old man has never been happier since telling me 13 years ago that i had a month to find a house and move out before he put me on the streets;o)

Great kick up the arse and our relationship has been fantastic ever since that day, as I knew the fucker had it spot on due to my outrageous behaviour.

I'll treat him to his favourite liver and bacon in Southend, anything else he'd only turn down.

Surely there must be a claim opportunity for those of us who never had PPI so are now missing out on free money?

I'm a victim of something that wasn't my fault - WHERE'S MY FREE MONEY ???
